The pubs in England are opening for the first time on Saturday July 4th (it’s Wednesday, July 15th for Scotland and Monday, July 20th for the Republic of Ireland). And Weatherspoon’s are in the news for increasing prices on drinks by roughly 10p and on food by 20p per meal.
They’ve implemented 9 rules for customers:
- queues
- hand sanitisers
- small groups only
- order and pay via the app
- menus are single-use only
- no smoking near entrances and exits
- tables can’t be moved
- children must be kept seated
- contact details to be provided (for the NHS Test and Trace initiative)
